Job summary

Allied Universal, Rock Tavern, NY, seeks a Security Officer – Mobile Patrol to guard clients across various sectors. The role emphasizes unarmed patrols, badge checks, and high visibility to deter security incidents, with shift coverage including nights.

You’ll document activity, communicate with site teams, and deliver customer service using on-site systems and tablets. Qualified candidates have security experience, high school diploma, and comfort with computers/tablets.

Qualifications

• Have 1 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including office areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking credentials, directing visitor traffic, and assisting with visitor sign-in and/or badging per site policy.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations during shift turnover, and report hazards and/or unusual activity to site leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer – Mobile Patrol in Rock Tavern, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech location, you will complete routine patrols, support access control and badge verification, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents.
