Qualifications

• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Site Surveillance in Rock Tavern, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use communication and computer skills to document security-related activity while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout technology-focused facilities, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
