Job summary

Allied Universal in Durham, NC is seeking a Part-time Security Officer (Unarmed) to monitor and safeguard patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare environment. You will patrol assigned areas, respond to incidents, and provide friendly, professional service using a tablet or computer.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Criminal histories considered in a lawful manner.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors by following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of clinical areas, public spaces, parking areas and perimeter.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials.
• Document incidents and observations accurately in site procedures.
