Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Durham, NC to protect patients, visitors, staff, and property while delivering exemplary customer service. You will patrol healthcare facilities, monitor access, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism.

The role offers flexible day/evening schedules and opportunities to engage with our shift-claim platform. Ideal candidates bring customer service experience, comfort with computer/tablet use, and a high school diploma

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
