Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Site Observation in Blythewood, SC. You will provide unarmed patrols, access control, and customer service while maintaining a visible presence and identifying security concerns.

Day-to-day duties include reporting incidents, completing daily activity reports, and collaborating with site personnel.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and employer.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, parking areas, entrances, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and assist with directing authorized personnel and deliveries.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
