Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer – Entry Access in Blythewood, SC. You will guard clients across industries, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professional customer service.

The role involves unarmed patrols, reporting, and following site procedures. Requires 2+ years security or law enforcement experience and a high school diploma; background/drug screening per law applies. Flexible weekend schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per laws.
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered per laws.
• Subject to drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and deliveries, and documenting entry and exit activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear activity logs for incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related events.
