Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced (Part Time) in Springfield, MO. This role provides flexible, dependable hours with the potential to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform, increasing earnings while building experience across multiple sites.

The position offers a fixed anchor shift with up to 40 hours per week possible when combined with additional shifts. A valid driver’s license is required where applicable, and the pay rate is $16.21 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility customers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry and activity records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and maintenance concerns in clear, timely reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
