Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Patrol Presence) in Cambridge, MA. You will guard a commercial real estate location, perform routine patrols, and provide customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role offers flexible day/evening shifts and the opportunity to explore new roles via our shift-claim platform. Minimum requirements include being 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma, and passing background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Provide reliable customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain vigilance and situational awareness during patrols.
• Communicate effectively with team and site contacts.
• Follow site procedures and safety policies at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and contractor activity in accordance with established building procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
