Job summary

Doyle Security Services in Newark, NJ is seeking a Security Officer to observe and report activities at an assigned client site, protecting property and personnel. You will perform regular tours, respond to incidents, and help enforce site rules while standing most of the shift.

This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, shifts on Fridays late night to early morning and weekends, and a valid NJ SORA license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid NJ SORA License.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Physical ability to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Overview

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Schedule

Fridays 11:59pm-6am, Saturday and Sunday 10pm-6am

Pay Range

Starting from USD $21.00/Hr.
