Job summary

Allied Universal® in New York, NY, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Eatery Facility Patrol Log Review to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other environments. The role offers a flexible schedule and a path to explore new shifts via our Claim a Shift platform.

You will conduct patrols, manage access procedures, and respond to incidents with professionalism, contributing to Allied Universal’s people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, vendors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, vendor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
