Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Boston, MA to provide customer service and safeguard clients across multiple sites. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents following site procedures.

The role emphasizes professional communication, adherence to policy, and accurate reporting. Pay is $24.00 per hour with day and weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply and driver's license for driving roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation and ship repair location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, repair areas, access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in a timely manner.
