Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: a valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner; notify relevant personnel.
• Conduct regular foot/vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking, entrances and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report suspicious behavior and policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and daily activity logs; communicate with administrators and law enforcement as needed.
