Job summary

Allied Universal in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Access Support. You will monitor facilities, assist with access control, and provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.

This role offers flexible weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) with a pay rate of $20 per hour. You will perform unarmed patrols and use company tech to log activities, supporting a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of warehouse, loading dock, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and log activities.
• Assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow and report security-related conditions.
