Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Signal Triage in Washington, DC. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, enabling higher earnings while maintaining a flexible schedule.

The position emphasizes customer service, access control, and incident response across a commercial site. Pay is $25.25 per hour with a Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift and potential for increased hours as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of security‑related experience.
Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
Loss prevention experience preferred.
Experience with alarm panels preferred.
Guard card or license preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background check required by law and company policy.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
A valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and clients at a commercial real estate location.
Monitor building access points, visitor activity, and common areas; document accurately per site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, clear communication to site contacts or responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, parking areas, and perimeter.
Assist with access control, key and credential procedures, and tenant service requests.
