Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console in Chantilly, VA. This flexible, dependable position offers reliable hours at a fixed site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $20.50 per hour, with DayTime Friday shifts from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The role includes fixed-anchor shifts, responding to incidents, patrolling building interiors and perimeters, and verifying access as required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
