Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time enhanced role at a Roseland, NJ site. You’ll staff a fixed anchor shift on weekends with opportunities to pick up extra shifts via our platform, increasing earnings and gaining experience across sites. The role focuses on front desk security, customer service, and safety procedures.

Pay rate is $19.21 per hour. This position offers flexible hours, potential advancement, and a pathway toward a full-time schedule if desired.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required in the job location.
• Minimum of one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a front desk.
• Monitor visitor access, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Maintain awareness of front desk activity and support emergency response activities.
