Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in New York, NY. This role offers reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $20.25 per hour with a fixed shift and a program to earn more through additional shifts. The role supports customer service at retail locations and requires a NYS Security Guard License and security experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least six months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail location visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, tenant spaces as assigned, entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site-specific procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
