Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at our Newark, Delaware site. This role provides reliable, fixed hours with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across sites.

Pay rate is $19.57 per hour. Must have at least 1 year of security experience and a high school diploma. CPR is preferred. Applicants will undergo a background check and a drug screen as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and documentation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and completed patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
