Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Communication to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

This role offers fixed-anchor shifts and an Earn More, Claim-A-Shift option, with potential to scale up to 40 hours per week. Candidates must have security experience and a high school diploma; a state license is preferred. A background check and drug screen apply.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking office areas, lobbies, entrances, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report irregularities or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
