Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Kokomo, IN. The role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, enabling higher earnings.

You will serve tenants, visitors, and staff, perform patrols, and respond to incidents in a dynamic retail environment. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, and a background check; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols in retail areas, parking zones, and perimeters to identify unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and professionally following reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor and contractor procedures, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports and communicate with property management and emergency responders.

Education
