Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation in Indianapolis, IN. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to maximize earnings.

Pay rate is $18.80 per hour. The position includes a six‑month anchor shift commitment, with potential to scale to up to 40 hours weekly and advance through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or clients at a financial services location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and access‑related documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security‑related concerns, unusual conditions, and service needs.
