Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX. This flexible role provides reliable hours with opportunities to earn more via additional shifts through our platform.

You will have a fixed anchor shift each week plus optional extra shifts across multiple sites, with a potential schedule up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour, with a six-month commitment to the fixed shift.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and security-related concerns calmly and professionally, following post instructions and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, reporting any unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required.
