Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Management in Durham, NC. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $17.23 per hour, with a DayTime schedule 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM on weekdays. This role is ideal for individuals seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build toward a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, managing visitor and contractor entry, documenting arrivals and departures, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and required documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
