Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Inspection in Crown Point, IN to provide reliable security coverage with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick extra shifts. The role is designed to offer flexible, dependable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $17.75 per hour; duties include patrolling, access control, incident response, and professional presence to deter unauthorized access.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology‑focused location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document entries, incidents, and observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and disruptive activity through a professional presence and consistent application of site‑specific procedures.
