Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Life–Enhanced Security Officer (Part Time) in Carol Stream, IL. This role offers reliable hours with fixed shifts and options to pick up additional shifts via our platform, providing flexibility and earning potential.

You will perform identity screening and security procedures at a logistics site, ensuring safety and compliance while supporting a 40-hour-per-week capacity when needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and employees while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and vehicles per access-control procedures for a logistics location.
• Verify credentials, maintain logs and direct authorized individuals to check-in and loading areas.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and document activities.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
