Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Experienced Patrol Reporting for the Chicago, IL area. The role offers a fixed anchor shift with additional shift pickups via the scheduling platform, enabling earnings growth while maintaining part-time hours.

Pay rate is $20.40 per hour with opportunities to scale up hours up to 40 per week. The position supports a stable schedule and hands-on security experience within a leading North American security provider.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, vendors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a high-traffic commercial waterfront destination.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public areas, tenant spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, providing directions and assistance while reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.
