Job summary

Allied Universal® in Boston, MA, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Accountability to provide reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site. This role offers a pay rate of $25.00 per hour, with a fixed shift and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

The position emphasizes customer service, site access control, and incident response on a part-time basis, with potential to scale toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, parking areas, ATMs, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies and financial institution procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence while supporting the protection of people, property, and confidential information at the location.
