Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver Patrol Operations in Birmingham, AL. This role offers fixed anchor shifts and a flexible option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

The position supports customer service, site-specific procedures, and occasional emergency response, with a schedule that includes Sundays and a 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM shift.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required, subject to applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and/or guests by carrying out site-specific security procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of retail areas, storefronts, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report security concerns, suspicious activity, maintenance issues, and policy violations per site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
