Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable coverage at an assigned site with flexible hours and opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

This role combines customer service, access control, and incident response, with a fixed anchor shift and the option to earn more through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Pay rate is $18.50 per hour, with a Wednesday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM schedule and a path toward a full-time schedule if desired.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license may be required.
Customer service experience preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Background check will be conducted.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out access‑control procedures and site policies.
Monitor and control access points for associates, vendors, deliveries, and visitors per procedures.
Verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns to site leadership.
Respond to incidents calmly and document observations per site procedures.
Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and report concerns.
