Job summary

Allied Universal in Georgetown, DE is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide access control and customer service at a food production site. The position offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

The pay rate is $20.34 per hour, with DayTime Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM schedule and a six-month anchor commitment. This role emphasizes safety, compliance, and responsive support for site operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required by law and policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at a food production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including facility entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with emergency response activities, monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
