Job summary

Allied Universal in Waterloo, IA is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Mornings. You will provide a visible, customer-focused security presence, perform unarmed patrols, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents, with a schedule that combines mornings on Fridays and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Able to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial sites, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter zones.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Observe facility operations for security-related concerns and deter unauthorized activity.
