Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer – FLEX in Waterloo, IA to provide dependable coverage with fixed anchor shifts and optional additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

You will deliver customer service, follow site policies, monitor access, respond to incidents, and perform regular patrols at a manufacturing/industrial location, while maintaining clear incident reports and teamwork with site personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local regulations.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and reporting per site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access by observing personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles; report suspicious activity.
• Document patrols and daily activities in clear, accurate reports and communicate during shift transitions.
