Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection in Westfield, MA. The role offers reliable hours with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform, and pays $17.50 per hour.

The position features fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and a program to earn more by taking additional shifts, aiming for up to 40 hours weekly when available.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check and drug screen as per policy.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records in a timely manner.
