Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Driver Visitor Screening in Hickory, NC. This part-time role combines front-desk duties with controlled access, visitor screening, and responsive customer service at a manufacturing site.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and comfort with computers. Applicants may be subject to background checks and drug screening; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license and age 18+.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional front-desk presence and customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures, visitor protocols, and access-control requirements at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Greet, screen, and direct visitors, contractors, vendors, and employees; verify identification and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Monitor entry points, reception-area activity, alarms, cameras, and communications systems, reporting unusual conditions or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when required.
• Support administrative front-desk functions, including issuing visitor credentials, answering incoming calls, maintaining logs, and providing directions or information to authorized individuals.
