Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer for our Distribution Center in San Luis Obispo, CA. This role features a fixed anchor shift with the opportunity to earn additional hours through our scheduling platform, supporting income growth while ensuring reliable coverage.

The position focuses on access control, visitor management, and incident response, with a pay rate of $19.48 per hour. It offers part‑time hours with potential to scale up to a full schedule as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials and shipping-related documentation before granting access.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records and manage credentials.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas and peri-urban zones to deter unauthorized access and report concerns.
