Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Credential Verification) in Deptford, NJ. You will monitor entry points, verify access, perform patrols, and provide professional customer service to clients and visitors in a retail environment.

The role offers flexible scheduling, including afternoon shifts, with pay rate of $18.54 per hour and opportunities to grow within a leading security and facility services company.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law. Licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for access, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report concerns to site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular/random patrols of the location to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
• Observe and report unusual activity and maintain a professional environment for employees and customers.
