Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law. Licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for access, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report concerns to site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular/random patrols of the location to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for access, and maintain visitor and delivery logs in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, sales areas, stockroom access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, maintain awareness of restricted areas and regulated product storage locations, and support a professional environment for employees and customers.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
