Job summary

DK Security is seeking a part-time Security Officer to ensure safety for clients’ properties. Duties include customer service, patrolling, access control, and rapid response in emergencies, with a focus on professional demeanor and security presence.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, drug screening, and no disqualifying convictions. Training is provided; excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 with a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass a drug screen as required by federal contract.
• No felony convictions; no dishonesty/fraud-related convictions.
• No weapons or disallowed items on premises; compliant with laws.
• Able to sit/stand/walk 8–12 hours; lift 50 lbs (70 lbs for armed work).
• CPR/First Aid/AED certified or willing to become certified.
• Vision to 20 feet and ability to hear in loud environments.
• Proficient with smartphone/computer for training and communications.
• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English; professional demeanor.
• Complete trainings on time and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: reflect the company positively to client staff, visitors, and coworkers.
• Observe and Report: stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: maintain professional appearance and guard lobbies and reception areas.
• Security Officer: conduct foot/vehicle patrols as required.
• Access Control: prevent unauthorized entry and verify IDs.
• Emergency Response: assist in emergencies; CPR/First Aid/AED care.
• Other duties as assigned.
