Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Driver Entry Management) in Pittston, PA to protect clients at a retail distribution location. You will manage access, verify credentials, and maintain logs, while delivering exceptional customer service on shift.

This driving role requires a valid driver's license and a professional presence. The position offers a pay rate of $19.50 per hour with scheduled shifts, and access to our shift-claiming tools, training, and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, communicate with drivers and dispatch personnel, and report access irregularities or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
