Securitas, Inc. in Clear Lake, IA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment for our clients.

The role includes access control, patrols, reporting safety concerns, and providing customer service to employees and guests. Wage is $19.00 per hour with benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises with access control and patrol a variety of locations.
• Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for client sites regarding personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Primary Location: Clear Lake, IA

Wage: $19.00/HR

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• 1 8 hour shift guaranteed (more hours are able to be picked up to cover vacations and call offs).


• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.


• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
