Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Philadelphia seeks a Kroc Safety Associate (KSA) to help maintain safety and security for guests, volunteers, and staff. The role is part-time (up to 29 hours/week) with an evening start at 4:00pm and weekend coverage as required.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1–3 years in security, English literacy, and a valid driver’s license along with First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days. Background clearances are required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of security or related experience.
• Fast-paced environment; interact with diverse populations.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass safety driving test.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and follow directions.
• Background clearances: Child Protection Clearances per PA Act 153, state and FBI checks.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas on foot to maintain safety and security.
• Enforce Center rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with operations staff as needed.
