Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Driver Patrol Communications security officer in San Jose, CA to provide on-site protection, patrol facilities, control access, and deliver exceptional customer service to students, staff and visitors. The role supports a range of campus security functions while maintaining a visible presence and responding to incidents.

The position offers part-time hours with a driving component and requires a valid license, background check, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, families, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations calmly per campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, report anomalies.
• Document incidents and patrol activities, communicating to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
