Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Access Authorization Driver in Shippingport, PA. You will protect clients across manufacturing and industrial environments, monitor entry points, verify access, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role requires a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work a rotating DayTime and Night schedule.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at an industrial location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access for vehicles, contractors, vendors, and deliveries, including documenting arrivals and departures and communicating access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
