Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Access Control Driver in Melville, NY. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, patrol, and provide exceptional customer service at a tech/media/telecom location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor sign-in records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations following emergency response protocols.
• Monitor cameras, access control systems, and communications equipment; report unusual activity and maintenance concerns.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
