Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help people with disabilities learn, work and play in their communities. DSPs work in a person-supported home, assisting with daily activities, meals, hygiene and medication administration while partnering with clinical staff.

The role runs Fridays and Saturdays from 4 PM to 12 AM, with a $1 shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays 9 AM–9 PM. Equal opportunity employer with comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and personal hygiene.
• Assist with medication administration and support plans aligned with clinical staff.
• Support community involvement and daily living activities in the person-supported home.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
