Job summary

Michaels is hiring for a store associate in Houston, TX. The role focuses on helping customers locate products, processing quick and accurate checkouts, and supporting omni-channel services like BOPIS and SFS.

You will also assist with truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining a well-merchandised, in-stock store. Candidates should have retail or customer service experience and the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves.
• Cross-trained in framing sales and production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout with standard cash handling.
• Enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on VOC surveys.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Maintain store recovery and in-stock conditions with merchandise returns.
