Allied Universal, Chester, VA, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Screening Assessment) to safeguard clients across tech/media/telecom locations. You’ll screen individuals/items, monitor entry points, and report concerns while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel by following security procedures and policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors and items entering the location according to access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry points and report suspicious activity or policy violations to leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting/escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, screening areas and surrounding spaces as applicable.
