Job summary

Allied Universal in Chester, VA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Visitor Screening Coordinator to support a tech/media location. You will screen visitors, monitor access points, and help maintain a welcoming, secure environment while providing excellent customer service.

This role offers a flexible part-time schedule with pay rate $21.00 per hour and shifts including days and weekends. A guard card or license is preferred, and background checks as required.

Qualifications

• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors entering the location by verifying identification, reviewing access credentials, and following visitor management procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct package, bag, or personnel screening in accordance with site-specific policies and applicable procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, screening areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
