Lone Star College-Creekside Center is seeking a Part-Time Science Lab Coordinator II to support and manage biology, chemistry, environmental science, geology, and physics labs. This role collaborates with faculty to schedule labs, maintains equipment and safety standards, and monitors budgets and inventory to ensure smooth operations.

The position requires a high school diploma with 5+ years of related experience; a preferred Associate’s degree and strong computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 5+ years related experience.
• Preferred: Associate's degree.
• Knowledge of infection control policies and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong computer and office software skills.
• Physical ability for light lifting and lab activities.

Responsibilities

• Create schedules for biology, chemistry, environmental science, geology, and physics labs.
• Maintain inventory and quality assurance of lab items.
• Track and coordinate budget expenditures.
• Prepare requisitions for lab materials.
• Direct and monitor lab safety protocols.
• Dispose of regulated and biohazardous materials properly.
• Communicate with instructors regarding labs.
• Analyze and improve procedures and practices.
• Develop hygiene plan and MSDS management.
• Stay current with technologies and safety regulations.
• Supervise student workers in labs.
• Maintain vendor and inter-department relationships.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
