The Learning Lamp in Westmoreland County, PA is seeking a part-time Staff Substitute to support school district staffing programs. You will cover absences in the paraprofessional department, assisting with supervision, classroom support and student care during school hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Clearances and trainings must be kept current (PA State Criminal History, Child Abuse Report, FBI Criminal History, NSOR, mandated trainings).
• First Aid – CPR Certification and Act 71 Suicide Prevention Training are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with personal and medical needs, including transfers and daily care.
• Supervise students throughout the school day (lunchroom, bus, gym, field trips, playground).
• Help teachers with records, inventory, and maintaining a neat classroom.
• Tutor and reinforce learning concepts in small groups under teacher guidance.
